Thale Noi Waterbird Park is an extensive basin of water on the east coast of south Thailand, which can be reached quite easily from Trang or Hat Yai. From there you can see different types of water plants, birds and herds of swimming buffalos. By January and February are the months when thousands of birds from north come to Thale Noi to spend some time there.
Thale Noi - Patthalung is a swamp area, one of the largest freshwater lakes in southern Thailand, classified as a 'Non-Hunting Area' and protected by the Department of Forestry.
